If this is an emergency
In Australia call 000, or go to your nearest emergency department. Do not use this program, the app or your dietitian chat for emergencies. Health advice 24/7: Healthdirect 1800 022 222. Mental health: Lifeline 13 11 14. Eating disorders: Butterfly Foundation 1800 33 4673. In the UAE call 998 for ambulance.
1. This is not medical advice
The 28 Day Plan provides general nutrition and lifestyle coaching. It is not medical advice, diagnosis or treatment, and it is not a substitute for care from your GP or another registered health practitioner. Nothing in the program, app, meal plan, community or any message from our team is a clinical opinion about your individual condition.
2. Who delivers your consultations
Your consultations are delivered by dietitians credentialled in Australia as Accredited Practising Dietitians (APD) through Dietitians Australia. [ Confirm every dietitian holds a current APD credential, and how a participant can verify it ]
Dietetics is not currently a profession registered under AHPRA. The APD credential is the recognised professional standard in Australia, and we describe our practitioners by that credential rather than implying a form of registration that does not exist.
Your dietitian is not your treating doctor. They cannot diagnose disease, prescribe medication, or tell you to change medication you have been prescribed.
3. Speak to your doctor first
Talk to your GP before starting, and stay under their care throughout, if any of these apply:
- You are pregnant, breastfeeding or trying to conceive.
- You have or have had an eating disorder or disordered eating.
- You have diabetes, cardiovascular, kidney, liver or thyroid disease, coeliac disease, IBD or another chronic condition.
- You take prescription medication, particularly for blood pressure, blood glucose, anticoagulation, thyroid function or mental health.
- You are under 18, or recovering from surgery, injury or illness.
We may decline or pause your participation if we believe the program is not clinically appropriate for you. That is a safety decision.
4. Supplements
Supplements referenced in the program are not a substitute for a varied diet and are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease. Check with your doctor or pharmacist first, especially if you take prescription medication. Always read the label and follow the directions for use.
Advertising of therapeutic goods in Australia is regulated by the Therapeutic Goods Administration under the Therapeutic Goods Advertising Code. We do not make claims that fall outside what is permitted for a listed product, and we do not suggest you delay or substitute treatment prescribed by a medical practitioner.
5. Movement
The daily step goal is general activity guidance, not an exercise prescription. Stop and seek advice if you get chest pain, dizziness, unusual breathlessness or new or worsening pain.
6. Stop and seek advice
Discontinue and contact a health professional if you experience unusual symptoms, rapid or unexplained weight change, fainting, persistent gastrointestinal distress, or a decline in your mental health.
7. Your responsibility
You are responsible for your health decisions. By joining, you confirm you have considered whether the program suits you and have given your dietitian the health information they need to plan safely.
8. Contact
Clinical concerns: [ support@ email ]. This inbox is not monitored around the clock and must never be used for urgent or emergency matters. Note that our team operates from the UAE, so responses may not align with Australian business hours. [ State your actual support hours in AEST/AEDT ]
